Uri Adelman |
| Uri Adelman (1958-2004) was born in Ramat- Gan and lived in Moshav Givat Chen. He taught in the Musicology Department of Tel Aviv University, was editor of suspense fiction at Keter Publishers, and wrote a weekly column on computers for a local newspaper. He also wrote for TV and the stage, and published four books on computers. Adelman wrote four bestselling novels and a novella. His highly acclaimed novel, Tropic of Venus has been adapted for TV, and Wedding has been adapted for the screen. Adelman was awarded the Book Publishers Association Platinum Book Prize for Lost and Found (1999) and the Golden Book Prize for Tropic of Venus (2000). In 2004, he was posthumously nominated Author of the Year by the daily newspaper, Yedioth Ahronoth, as well as by Israel`s Channel 2 TV.
