Gafi Amir

Gafi Amir was born in Givatayim, Israel, in 1966, and began her journalistic career during her military service. After she was discharged, she worked as a writer and host for the youth department of Kol Israel Radio, wrote for the weekly Koteret Rashit and served as a TV researcher. Since 1987, she has written for the weekly Tel Aviv, had a column in Ha`Ir and worked as a journalist for the national daily, Yedioth Ahronoth.
Amir published her first novel at age 21; since then, she has published two more novels and two collections of short stories. She has also written TV scripts and co-authored a play.
