Roni Givati |
| Roni Givati was born in Binyamina, Israel, in 1940, and spent her childhood on Kibbutz Kfar Bloom. Since 1960, she has been a member of Kibbutz Ein Gedi, where she works as a regular and special education teacher. She has also worked as a children`s book editor at Hakibbutz Hameuchad Publishing House. Givati began writing in 1972, and has published six novels and 12 books for children. She has received the Newman Prize (1972), an Andersen Honor Citation (1975), and the Ze`ev Prize twice (1991, 1997) and the Prime Minister`s Prize (1998). |
