Tamar Gelbetz

Born in Tel Aviv in 1957, Tamar Gelbetz studied cinema and English literature at Tel Aviv University. She was for many years a journalist at Haaretz and Ha'Ir newspapers, writing mainly on culture and entertainment. Gelbetz has also worked as editor and TV reviewer for the daily Maariv, and as scriptwriter and editor for Channel 2 TV. She published her first novel, You're Doing Fine, in 2004. Gelbetz received a special citation in the Haaretz Short Story Competition (2004), and was awarded the Prime Minister's Prize in 2007.
