Peretz-Dror Banai

Peretz-Dror Banai was born in 1947 in Gamishli, Syria. He grew up in Aleppo and attended a Protestant school. He immigrated with his family to Israel in 1962. The family's first home was in an immigrant transit camp near the town of Kfar Saba, where he lives today. He has translated and published modern Arab poetry and prose (Mahmud Darwish, Joubran Khalil Joubran).
