Gai Ad

Gai Ad was born in Beersheva, Israel, in 1963. She studied life sciences at Tel Aviv University and received her BA in 1989; during these years, she wrote for the daily newspaper Hadashot. She later moved to the United States and received an MA in emotive therapy from Leslie College. She attended training courses for therapists of amnesia sufferers in New York, and founded a special unit for Alzheimer patients. After returning to Israel in 1997, Gai Ad began writing for TV and working as a translation editor. At present, she writes screenplays for Channel 1 TV and works as a translator. Gai Ad has received the Prime Minister’s Prize (2010).
