Anadad Eldan

Anadad Eldan was born in Poland in 1924, and immigrated to pre-state Israel with his family in 1930. He joined the elite Palmah unit and fought in Israel's 1948 War of Independance. Today he is a member of Kibbutz Be'eri in the Negev. Eldan graduated from the Hebrew University with a degree in Hebrew Literature, Bible and English Literature. He has published many collections of poetry and was awarded the Prime Minister's Prize in 2001.
