Ora Morag

Ora Morag was born in Haifa in 1942 and holds a BA in Hebrew literature and theater from Tel Aviv University. She writes for children and adults, and translates children's literature. Morag has published 22 children's books. Some are based on real-life experiences; others are historical thrillers. Her adult novel, One Hundred New Apples, received the Haifa Prize and was made into a musical. A TV series based on the novel was also awarded First Prize at the Jerusalem Film Festival and the Israeli Oscar for TV Series. Morag has been awarded the Ze'ev Prize (2005), the ACUM Prize (2005) and the Book Publishers Association's Gold Prize (2015).

The Ministry of Culture and Sport announced the names of the winners of the Arik Einstein Veterans Artists Prize.
A prize of 50,000 NIS was given to each of the 21 artists who worked and are still working to promote Israeli culture in various fields -Music, dance, theater, plastic arts, cinema and literature. In the literature category the winners were Ronny Someck, Jacob Buchan and Shlomit Cohen-Assif. Also, Anat Masiach is among the recipient of the prize for debut literary works. Congratulations!
