The first International Showcase of Hebrew Literature
The first International Showcase of Hebrew Literature took place last week in Tel Aviv-Jaffa, organized by the Israeli Institute for Hebrew Literature with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture and Sport.
Over the course of five days, some twenty-five publishers, editors, festival directors, and literary journalists from around the world gathered in Israel.
They were introduced to contemporary Hebrew writing, met authors, explored the local publishing landscape, and engaged in meaningful dialogue with their Israeli colleagues.
This milestone event marks an important step in strengthening the dialogue between Israeli culture and international audiences, and in fostering new translations, publications, and collaborations worldwide – even in these times.
We are deeply grateful to all our partners, participants, and the wider public who helped make this encounter possible, and we look forward to seeing you again next year.
