Dorit Abusch

Dorit Abusch was born in Tel Aviv in 1955. She studied philosophy, literature and linguistics at Tel Aviv University, and philosophy at the University of Massachusetts, where she earned her PhD. She is an expert in semantics. From 1985 to 1990, Abusch taught in California, Texas and New York. For the following 10 years, she taught linguistics at Stuttgart and Tubingen Universities. She is now a professor of linguistics at Cornell University. Abusch began publishing poems and stories in 1974. She currently divides her time between Israel and the USA.
