Avner Treinin

Avner Treinin was born in 1928 in Tel Aviv and has lived most of his life in Jerusalem. He has a PhD in chemistry from the Hebrew University and has since taught and served as Dean of the Faculty of Natural Sciences there. He has also conducted research and taught abroad. The recipient of a number of literary awards, including the Bialik Prize for Poetry, Treinin has published short stories and several volumes of poetry.
