Esty G. Hayim

Esty G. Hayim was born in Jaffa, Israel, in 1963 and grew up in Haifa. She studied theater and acting at Tel Aviv University. Hayim, a writer and actress, has performed at Tel Aviv's Cameri Theater as well as at other venues. At present, she teaches creative writing at college and writes literary reviews for the Hebrew press. Hayim has published novels and short stories. She has received the Haaretz Short Story Prize, the Tel Aviv Foundation Award, the Prime Minister's Prize twice (2002; 2016) and the Brenner Prize (2014).
