Rachel Talshir

Rachel Talshir was born in Israel in 1957 to Holocaust-survivor parents and grew up in Beersheba. She completed her military service as a reporter for the IDF radio station. Talshir has a BA in psychology and an MA in literature. She has worked as a reporter and editor for a several newspapers, including Haaretz, Ha'Ir and Maariv. At present she is a columnist for Haaretz and lives in Tel Aviv. Talshir hes received the Pratt Award for Environmental Journalism (2011).
