Irit Shoshani was born in Poland in 1947 and immigrated to Israel in 1957. She has a BA in art history and philosophy from Tel Aviv University as well as a teaching diploma in history. Shoshani has taught Hebrew and history to new immigrants, and Hebrew in North Carolina. She has published fiction and books for youth.
