Shifra Cornfeld

Shifra Cornfeld was born in Jerusalem in 1980, the second of eight children in an ultra-Orthodox family, and was raised in the Old City of Jerusalem. She holds a BA in industrial design from Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design. In 2008, she won the Big Brother reality show on TV, and used the prize money to sit down and write her first novel. Cornfeld wrote an op-ed column for the daily Maariv and at present she is hosting a cultural TV magazine for channel KAN 11. She lives in Tel Aviv.
