Two Giraffes in Space

Nurit Zarchi
AGE: 3-6

Mira and Shira, the two giraffes that we know and love from the earlier books in this series, embark upon their most daring adventure of all: they fly into space! Everything on earth has become too crowded, people unintentionally bump into them and bother them all the time, so they need space, which is precisely where Mira suggests they go: outer space, where there’s plenty of room. Furthermore, she knows how to get there: you get into an elevator, and push a special button. And that’s how the twosome set off on their journey to the stars. However, very quickly, they discover that it’s not fun at all to be in space— instead they feel lonely and homesick. So once more, Mira and Shira press the special button and return to earth. Now they have a good reason to burst into a happy song.
