Yirmi Pinkus

Yirmi Pinkus, born in Tel Aviv in 1966, is an illustrator, novelist and graphic artist.

He has won the Sapir Prize for Debut Novel, the Prime Minister’s Award for Literature and he was shortlisted for the French Prix Ulysse. Since 2000, he has taught illustration and scriptwriting for comics and animation at Shenkar College.

His previous works have been adapted for theater, and published in Italian (Cargo), French (Grasset), English (Syracuse Press, Fantagraphics) and German (Avant Verlag).

Pinkus’s novel Professor Fabrikant’s Historical Cabaret has been published in Italian and in French; A Petty Business has been published in English.
