Naomi Vishnitzer

Naomi Vishnitzer (1925-1989) was born in Northern Bohemia, Czechoslovakia. She immigrated to pre-state Israel in 1938 and settled on Moshav Avigdor. Vishnitzer published five books for children, one of which has been translated into Russian, and a book for adults. She was awarded the Yatziv Prize (1973), the Ze'ev Prize (1976), and the ACUM Book of the Year Prize (1978) for her book,The Cave at Nahal Hever.
