Gidi Nevo was born in Jerusalem in 1959 and studied philosophy and Hebrew literature at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He received his PhD from the Hebrew University, and is at present a lecturer at Ben Gurion University of the Negev.
In 1997, Nevo was awarded the Bernstein Prize for his novel, So Far.
