Hagai Dagan

Hagai Dagan was born in Kibbutz Ein Hamifratz, Israel, in 1964. He studied at Tel Aviv and Freiburg Universities and received a PhD in Jewish thought and philosophy from Tel Aviv University. Dagan has taught at many academic institutions, including Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, Tel Aviv University, the Academic College of Tel Aviv–Yaffo, the Sam Spiegel Film and Television School and Hebrew Union College, Jerusalem. At present, he is the head of the Jewish thought program in the interdisciplinary department at Sapir College. Dagan was awarded the Prime Minister’s Prize (2007) and the Geffen Prize for the best fantasy book (2013).
