Michal Peer

Michal Peer was born in Tel Aviv in 1966. She received her BA in screenwriting from the Department of Film and Television at Tel Aviv University, and worked as a scriptwriter for children’s TV programs. She then went on to do a master’s degree in organizational behavior at the Tel Aviv University School of Management, while also working there as a teaching assistant. For nine years she was in charge of the Film strand Film Department at the Ironi Alef High School of Art in Tel Aviv. She lectures in the Film Department of Beit Berl College Faculty of Arts, and teaches screenwriting and creative writing at the Ironi Alef High School.
Peer’s short stories have been published in Mita’am as well as other journals. You, Who Live So Beautifully is her first novel. She received the Ministry of Culture Prize for Debut Authors (2016).
