Mirik Snir

Mirik Snir was born in 1948 at Kibbutz Kfar Giladi in the Upper Galilee to one of the earliest immigrant families to come to pre-state Israel. Snir holds a degree in Early Childhood Teaching and Special Education from Oranim College. She worked for many years as a teacher and later assumed other positions in the field of education. Today she writes and meets with parents, teachers and kindergarten teachers to discuss educational issues. Snir has published around 80 books and cassettes for young children, parents and educators. She won the Prime Ministers Award for Hebrew Writers in 2004.
