A Story about Ya’ir

Written by one of Israel`s most renowned poetesses, this is a delightful rhyming tale about the friendship between Ya’ir and his furry cat-friend, Sa’ir – which in Hebrew means “full of hair.” Of course, nature has made them rather different, but this doesn`t bother them at all. So on this particular day:

Ya’ir and Sa’ir decide to go out,
To get some air and walk about.
The sun tans Ya’ir, and splashes
freckles on his face,
But the hairy cat remains without a trace.

When their outing is over, they return home: one bright, white cat and one very tanned little boy. But neither Ya’ir nor Sa’ir mind at all – they remain good friends and drink a glass of milk together. A Story about Ya’ir is told with sensitivity and humor, and very appealing rhymes.

Alona Frankel`s illustrations complete the experience and portray the adventures of these two good friends.
