Tutti is a dog who looks remarkably like a floor mop. His best friends are his owner, nine-year old Roee, and a cat named Sami. The three communicate effortlessly in their own language. Roee is somewhat lonely and bored. It is the summer vacation and his mother is always preoccupied with her work. So when Roee sees an advertisement in the newspaper seeking a dog to star in a TV commercial for dog food, he decides to apply. The country’s most illustrious dogs apply for the job, but mop-like Tutti has a charm all of his own and he is hired. However, all of the advertising agency’s well-laid plans go topsy-turvy when Tutti turns his nose up at the dog food. He actually prefers cat food.

Not to be daunted, Roee rises to the occasion and suggests an alternative script which everyone accepts, even the reluctant cat Sami. Overnight, Tutti and Roee become TV stars. But they are soon forgotten, much to Roee’s chagrin. Roee’s mother finally becomes aware of her son’s loneliness and agrees to take him and Tutti on an exciting all-night excursion. In general, things seem to be looking up – Roee’s mother ends up giving him more attention and Tutti is offered another commercial. Life isn’t so bad after all.
