Egypt the Crocodile

Who ever heard of a child keeping a crocodile as a pet? In this story, the crocodile is a friendly, harmless creature. The day-old croc arrives through the waterpipes straight into Oded`s sink, and Oded, the hero of several of Lapid`s popular children`s stories, immediately becomes fond of the little creature and decides to adopt it. Egypt, the friendly crocodile, grows from day to day till its body fills the big tub in the bathroom. It`s very awkward for Oded and his family, especially when they want to take a bath… One day, Oded takes Egypt for a walk in town. When people see the crocodile, they get very agitated, and in the end, a truck comes and takes Egypt to the Safari Park, where it can swim about in the lake. In the evening, there is a knock on the door. Oded opens it and what does he see? Egypt, with a big smile on its face.
