Five Minutes from Kaganuka

A mere five minutes from Kaganuka there is a forest of animals, where civilization ends. In this satire on teachers and politicians, there are two irreconcilable worlds and three children who cross from one to the other. Momi, Shimi and Tali have all run away from home. The three are detected entering the animals’ forest on a television screen, the only remnant of sophisticated town life to be found in their domain.

Momi, Shimi and Tali are apprenticed to the wizard Mendoza to learn the skills of logic and opposition, which will enable them to turn evil into good. The children’s newly-acquired knowledge saves lives when an epidemic breaks out in the forest, making the animals immobile.
The children return to Kaganuka at the bidding of the fox, where they are interviewed on television, praising the world of the animals and persuading opponents in the finale of this inventive story.
