Freeing the Fairies

Noa loves fairies more than anything, so she is very excited when Rumpus`s Great Fairy Circus comes to town. At the circus, Noa meets her friends Gal and Ella and they are thrilled to see the fairies flying through the air, doing conjuring tricks. But after the show, Noa remembers that the fairies seemed sad and didn`t smile even once. Suddenly, she hears sobbing behind the circus tent and finds the fairies imprisoned in a cage. They tell her that Rumpus captured them in the forest with his butterfly net, and took away their wings, except for during the show. Now they are afraid of him and have lost their magical powers. When Noa promises to help them to overcome their fear, the fairies teach her their secret finger`crossing and a special spell, and Noa hurries to tell Ella and Gal. That night, the three of them stand at the window, whisper the magic spell and cross their fingers tight. The wind carries the spell to the fairies, who are so buoyed by the children`s faith they find back their magical powers and escape from the cage. Then they fly over the town, and their laughter sounds like the tinkling of bells. The children hear the laughter and are happy, especially Noa-she feels that her wish to be a fairy for one night has come true!
