How to Be Four

This is an amusing and imaginative tale about a little girl who can`t wait to be four years old. Her fourth birthday is only six months away, but her father says it`s a long way off, chiefly because Maya doesn`t want to give up her security blanket. She even takes it with her to the shops and on the bus. Grandma and Grandpa tell her that there`s a shortcut to her fourth birthday, but it`s scary and full of dangerous adventures. Maya bravely decides to set out on the journey with Grandma, Grandpa and, of course, her security blanket. It calms a storm at sea, an erupting volcano and a fierce wolf. But the blanket`s help has a price: it slowly disintegrates. It shrinks in the sea water, gets burned by the volcano and eaten by the wolf. Finally, the day arrives when Maya reaches her fourth birthday, proud and happy.
