Margolis’ Strange Book

Margolis` world is strange, but it is dotted with inspired absurdities. Margolis` mother Trude is a prime minister with fifty ears, each pair tuned to a different minister, deputy or secretary. While she is at work, Margolis meets up with his inner voice, which tells him that it will be in charge from now on. Margolis and his voice then go on a trip inside Margolis himself. They are joined by Hanina and Anina, two inept, unearthly creatures whose spells are often cast in the wrong direction. In this world, animals are changed into eerie beings and stones squeal when trodden on. Margolis and his friends are a trial to their unwilling hosts, especially to the old witch, who wants to send the visitors home. At last, she carries out an idea that sends Margolis back to his mother – permanently.
