The Cat that Dafna Wants

Dafna knows exactly what she wants – she wants a cat for her birthday. It`s to be a bit black and a bit white; roundish and plump would be just right, with a little pink nose and a soft meow, and this special cat would be called Powe. All the family work together to find a cat just like that, but when Dafna finally meets one, there`s no magic in the air and she doesn`t fall in love.

The night before her birthday, Dafna lies awake in bed and suddenly she hears the sound of a cat in distress. She fetches it inside, feeds it and takes it into her bed. When her family come to wake her up in the morning with a birthday cake and candles, they`re amazed to see that she has found her own birthday present: a skinny ginger cat with tiger stripes but no soft meow, the kind of cat that definitely isn`t called Powe. But Dafna, who has already fallen in love, knows that this is the cat she wants.
