The Great War
Dan and Alon are friends who begin to fight over a wooden board they found in the empty lot behind the house. “I’ll knock your teeth out,” Dan said angrily. “And I’ll call my Daddy, he’s stronger than you,” Alon answered. “And I’ll tell my aunt who knows karate and she’ll beat your Dad easily.” So began the war between the two camps. And what happened to Dan and Alon? In the meantime they forgot what the fight was all about because children, unlike adults, reconcile quickly. Dan and Alon went off to collect beetles and only the wooden board remained behind, a monument to the Great War.
