When the Shark and the Fish First Met
“In the middle of the Pacific Ocean swam a gentle little fish. Suddenly, the fish saw a shark who wanted to eat him.” Gilad Shalit`s children`s story When the Shark and the Fish First Met was written when Gilad was eleven years old. This hopeful fable is about a shark and a fish who learn to play together. The story is written with the innocence of a child and the insight of an adult, and it expresses all children`s desire to play, to make friends and live in peace.
This book was published in Hebrew by a group of people hoping for Gilad`s release.
The story was inspired by Sheli Elkayam`s book “When the Mouse and the Snake Met for the First Time.“
