Alon in the Storm

Yehuda Arazi had a price on his head. Wanted by the British government for his underground work in Eretz Israel of the 1940s, Arazi, known as Alon, disappears and pops up in Europe under false names with a variety of passports, much like James Bond. Arazi began his improbable career by illegally purchasing arms from the Polish army for the fighting force of the Jews in Palestine. He imported arms, traded intelligence, initiated the manufacture of arms in Eretz Israel and dedicated himself to illegal immigration, bringing in European Jewish refugees, despite the British ban.

His creative, improvised schemes to acquire leaky old boats, arms, supplies and workers provide interlocking plots of great suspense.
