Forbidden Love in St. Petersburg
One snowy morning, Mossad agent Yogev wakes up next to his Russian lover Anna and decides to give up his job and his country in order to stay with her in Russia. This isn`t an easy decision, but Yogev feels that it is his last chance of happiness. From this point on, Yogev recounts his life as a secret agent in a sensitive and unusually candid manner. We learn that his earlier marriage to Orit, his childhood sweetheart, ended in divorce: although he’d promised her he would never kill anyone, he didn`t keep his promise. And when Orit discovered his involvement in the death of a businessman who supplied weapons to the Syrians and Hezbollah, she decided she couldn`t go on living with him, or have the child they had finally conceived.
To stir him out of the depression he has fallen into, the Mossad send Yogev to St. Petersburg as a Canadian businessman, and there he meets the beautiful Anna, who adds new meaning to his life. But is Anna`s love genuine, or is she actually a spy hunter sent by the FSB (the ex-KGB) to tempt Yogev?
Amid the shadowy manipulations of the secret services, Mishka Ben-David depicts the world of a Mossad agent who chooses, against all odds, to stay with the woman he loves and fight for his right to be with her.
