The Magician’s Book

Menachem Ben introduces his readers to the wonderful, fanciful world of wizards. There’s Dina the Queen of Wizards, a Wiz of a Cat, the Old Man who knows all the answers and a host of other magicians who can do all sorts of fantastic things and know lots of secrets. One of them can turn people into animals, another changes colors and yet another can see you but you can’t see him! But the ultimate magician, says the author, is God. Because God created everything: the sky and the earth and all other things. And this is also why all magicians are really afraid of God – because if He says so, they won’t be magicians any more.

The book is written as a series of whimsical poems, each brimming with puns, wit and musical rhythm. It has tremendous appeal for the young reader.
